You are now located at DC Dream Center, located at 2826 Q Street SE Washington, D.C., parallel to Pennsylvania Ave.

Where can D.C. families look for wellness as more than just physical health? We highlight the DC Dream Center. The center provides employment assistance, yoga, enrichment programs, spiritual programs, and recreational activities. The center also includes a dance studio, computer lab, basketball court, meeting spaces, and offices to serve and bring new opportunities to the community.

The center was founded to create a ‘safe space for the next generation of leaders to dare to dream their full potential’ by co-founders Sammie Morrison and Scott Dimock in 1996 when they provided meals and mentorship at the SE White House just blocks away from the new location. Now more than 20 years later, their dream has become realized through the 10,000 square foot expansion of the center. One long-standing partner has been the National Community Church. Together the center and its partners responded to the COVID19 pandemic by pausing its programs from March 2020 to July 2021  to meet the urgent needs of providing meals and hygiene services. Learn more and connect at dcdcreamcenter.com and on Facebook.

Elsewhere along Penn Ave East, organizations cultivating community wellness include Planet Fitness, Pennsylvania Baptist Church, St Francis of Xavier Catholic Church, Muhammad Mosque #4, and the Southeast Family Center.
